About Us

If you’re having difficulty getting pregnant, it’s important to know you’re not alone. We often meet individuals and couples who feel like they don’t have enough information, or suspect it’s been taking a little too long to get pregnant. We also meet couples who have been doing all the right things and just need a little reinforcement.

We want to reinforce that it’s natural to have questions, and it’s reasonable to seek help if you think there’s a chance your fertility may not be what it could be.

Conveniently located in North Toronto, The HOPE Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Centre (FRMC) offers a full range of infertility programs and services – from counselling to complex assisted reproductive technologies. Patients can be referred to our program on their own, by their family doctor, or gynaecologic specialist.

The HOPE FRMC offers the convenience of a one-stop on site laboratory and ultrasound services in addition to a variety of diagnostic and treatment options, counselling, education and support.

Our goal is to help couples conceive, by providing timely, cost effective, and appropriate treatment. We take a practical and compassionate approach that looks at the whole picture, and provides care that is as individual as you and your situation. Within 4 weeks of your first visit we can usually identify the cause of your infertility and define an effective treatment plan.

The HOPE Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Centre is directed by Dr. Nathan Roth, who is associated with the Markham Fertility Centre.

If you require further information or wish to make an appointment, call the HOPE FRMC at 416.609.8868. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

OUR PATIENTS SAY

“I came under Dr. Roth’s care after trying to conceive over an extended period of time and after experiencing a number of miscarriages, Dr. Roth walked me through several different approaches with the goal of assisting my husband and I to get me pregnant. No matter what the situation, Dr. Roth and his staff were extremely patient. The organizational structures in the office helped make potentially overwhelming processes go smoothly and efficiently…”

“My husband and I couldn’t face our relations and friends, who for four years were always asking us why we didn’t have a child. Then we met Dr. Roth, who advised us on how to overcome irregular periods and unbearable pain to be able to have a baby. We followed his advice. He worked hard and showed a great deal of patience with our situation. We are now parents of a beautiful baby girl. We recommend Dr. Roth to our community without hesitation.”

“The day finally came for the blood test. When I heard I was pregnant – I cried. We are now well into our fourth month and although the first few weeks were touch and go, I feel blessed everyday. Not only has Dr. Roth and his staff given my husband and I our miracle baby, they have renewed our faith.”

“After going through the daily injections, blood tests, ultrasounds, and finally the egg retrieval, we found out we only had one egg. Dr. Roth called me after hours to explain the results and at one point he said, ‘all you need is one egg and one sperm.’ Obviously not the most optimal situation, but his reassurance helped us get through the weekend. One embryo made it to the next cell stages and was to be implanted the following day. We were overwhelmed and tried to remain cautiously optimistic. I didn’t get out of bed for four days and did everything Dr. Roth suggested.”

“Most fertility procedures take several visits, a variety of physically exhausting tests, and you’re on an emotional roller coaster, but I can offer this advice – be patient, open-minded and remain hopeful as best you can. Recognize the value of the support, knowledge and expertise of your physician and healthcare team. For me, these people made all the difference in the world.”

Dr. Roth takes such care in explaining treatment and demonstrated genuine concern for my past experience with surgery. I fully realize how busy his schedule must be and it is refreshing to find a doctor who has not lost the ability to connect with his patients.
